Sugar and Spice (and all things nice)

Unfortunately I think she was talking more about the battle of the sexes (girls being sweet and spicy while guys are mere “puppy dogs tales”), than Riesling and chili peppers. But her little poem helps me to remember an important wine pairing that I recently learned thanks to all of the spicy food in New Mexico: sweet wines pair great with spice! French Yogurt Cake
Posted: 08/25/2009 Filed under: Recipes 1 Comment »I first learned to make a French Yogurt Cake in France where it is considered a simple everyday cake. While it is easy to make and doesn’t take a long list of ingredients, I am never disappointed with the result. I like to use Greek yogurt and olive oil to give it a more rich Mediterranean flavor, but the best part is really the honey and lemon glaze that keeps it moist and gives it a great tang.
